I can one up that. I went into their thread they have about site issues, for reporting site issues, and I mentioned that the fix isn't that difficult and I found it pretty quick. I was sent a PM informing me I'm "not an IT expert so stop posting".


Truth: I am an IT expert and have a plethora of java and site devs that report eventually up to me. Has it been some years since I did it? Yes. Are they running cutting edge stuff that is different from what I have done? No. So after that PM I have forgotten what I saw as causing the loading delays. Not worth my time.

Not long ago, there was a Rivals.com site called BuckeyeGrove.com, a pay site and one of the largest in the network.

Then, the main recruiting guy and all of the insiders except one started a new site, BuckeyeScoop.com, which is independent so they get to keep all of the revenue instead of having 50% siphoned off by the national guys.

That was about 15 months ago.

September 1, 2021 - the site owner's contract was up. They screwed him, so he left, took the name with him and went to work for the guys who left last year.

Rivals renamed the site "Scarlet And Gray Report". They have no full time staff. No insiders. The staff started a game thread for Thursday vs. MiniHaHa and it was a whole 3 pages. A year ago that thing would have been 80 pages and still going strong.

I cancelled my membership there (still have access until 9/21/21). When I cancelled, they offered me 3 free months, then 4. I really should have seen how high I could get them to go before I old them there was not a number they could offer that would make me stay.

It's really a shame, because there is a monster Browns thread there - - - 1886 pages and over 75,000 posts. I will really miss those guys.

Now, it's a ghost town.

Now THAT's how you kill a website.
