Wentz trade thread

If I’m being fair to Nagy I’m not sure his Bears tenure has been an indictment of his QB whispering and more an indictment of the personnel decisions Pace has made.

In that light this possible trade becomes the all or nothing last shot for them both. Wentz turns it and they see salvation. Wentz stays in his stubborn nonsense that’s got to be the final nail.

Nagy calls some dumb plaus......Thats why he relinquished his play calling to our oc......But I didnt see much difference.....

Some of my fellow Bear posters may disagree with the difference, but I believe that was more due ro the opponents we played.....

Heh.......The Bears will be spending a top pick on qb anyways,so basicly it would be a 3rd we give up.....Id be fine with that.....

Carson has more upside I believe than MT.....Thats worth a 3rd imo......
Mac Jones May be a better pick than some think. Honestly I’m kind of hoping the raiders trade Carr to Chicago. I don’t think Carr is the right QB for the Raiders. And after the Stafford trade Carrs trade value isn’t going to get any higher. Bears get their QB Raiders can use the picks to build their defense. And open up some much needed cap space If they use the picks right of course. Their drafts on the defensive side of the ball have been subpar at best.

Let's face it Hurts beat out Wentz and had the decked stacked against him but still did it. I'd let him rot in Philly and take a chance in the draft.

Its in the eye of the holder. Nagy is in a win now mode. They should first go hard for Watson and then ask about a few others. But regardless to me, wasting a first on a QB with a history of injuries and holding the ball too long is stupid to me.

PE1 is rolling in his grave.

RIP PE1
You dirty liar- he's not dead! You told me PE1's in a Mexican prison after stuffing chili con queso and fireworks in his bum-bum and molesting sick donkeys!

I’m just of the feeling that all the buzz around a Watson move so far is press generated. I think the Texans are trying desperately to hold onto him so far. That could change, and change fast. I will agree that Watson is clearly a much better option that Wentz. No doubt there.

Ohh I agree. Texans released a statement yesterday saying they aren’t trading Watson. Not sure if I believe that totally but if there is a chance he’ll stay the definitely keep him.

I wonder how many draft picks the Bears would trade for Wentz.

Looks perfectly in line with the usual Bears idiocy regarding the QB position. They would get a lesser pick and Wentz along with his large salary, in exchange for a collection of better picks (1st and a 2nd), Nick Foles and Tarik Cohen. Chicago relies on a heavy gamble that Wentz regains much of his 2017 form, and is a loser in every other scenario. Philly does at least better than they did in 2020, with a more experienced Hurts and Foles as the reliable backup, AND gets to enjoy some young players through the draft picks and Cohen's useful as a 3rd down back.

I'd say this is too good to be true.

Yeah, and the Bears will trade a player to the Eagles.

The Raiders are getting calls on Carr.....thought they were the most likely destination when news broke.

Not sure if was valid but I saw something recently that Wentz and Ertz could be a package deal in a Wentz trade?

Yeah, and the Bears will trade a player to the Eagles.
Still I'm not sure why the Bears would do this, unless there's either mental retardation at work, or if Philly would pay a portion of Wentz's salary.
