Wet Thursday

Its supposed to get close to freezing. Chance of flurries. No one wants to be held liable for anything, (which with the way we sue everything these days, I can't blame them) so they just close down or go virtual. Think they even had a delayed start earlier this year because there were like 20-30 mph winds.
Always blaming lawyers. Take some responsibility, you assholes. We ain't calling ourselves to start cases.

We (probably) gas the Flu-A through here last month. Step mom says she tested negative on the Vid and positive for Flu A, so it was probably that. But the missus also caught it, and her symptoms were exactly like when she had the Vid last year, just much shorter and less extreme.

We didn’t bother running out to test. It was likely just Flu-A (because the Vid, while still dangerous, is getting endemic for most), so we just chalked it up to some gunk and it was gone from all of us in a week.

GI bugs can fuck right the fuck off……
Always something with us having 5 kids in school & daycare. Sports as well. Build those immune systems up I guess.

Imagine if this happened on Fryday.
Is your local ski place having staffing issues?

The piece of shit here closes at 3pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends. We've got relative fucktons of snow right now and the cocksuckers aren't open.

Yeah, I was a bit worried that he might not have enough rooms in the current house to stash his brood, but apparently Moneybags is doing OK.
Not Moneybags yet. If we get it sold for the current price, I'll be heading that way. However if I knock the wife up again, we will need more rooms.

ppfffft

pansies

although if roads are supposed to get icy, i can see I guess
I get cancelling for extreme cold and bad conditions for buses. No district wants to be the one that has a kid die from standing out in the cold or getting the bus in an accident. And cancelling altogether eliminates the claim that a parent had to send their kid out in the cold/dangerous conditions.

Not so far. They've had some late openings because of bitter cold, but have been open until 8pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends so far. Which is the typical time for closing most of the time.

Don't know the status of the other local places.

yeah, I'll give them a pass for the icy road conditions

Thanks.

Our local place was bought up by Vail Resorts about three years ago and they've been busy fucking it up ever since.

People are getting really pissed now. I bought four season passes. It's bullshit.

You want to file a class action suit?

Lol we may have one more (hopefully just one if we do). We are done then with tubes tied and a snip come that next NCAA tournament time.
Bowl week is also not a bad time to spend all day on the couch icing yourn nuts.

Definitely worse having a bus load of kids hurt/dying in a bus crash, but I imagine a district having a kid die from extreme cold (which there has been a case or two over the last few years that I recall) probably still haunts those in charge.

Our district will cancel if there's even a chance of an early release day because they don't want parents caught at work or in traffic while a kid is locked outside the house because they got off school early. It makes total sense, but it is also frustrating when half the day is perfectly fine or the storm ends up missing us entirely. They'll start late occasionally, but never release early.

Thanks.

There's a place affiliated with Vail near us as well. Haven't looked up what their hours have been.

Also, no, I won't join your class action. I don't believe in lawsuits.

Just want to sell it. The town it in has high water bills and 1% income tax. The house is older though we did major renovation to it. It's been in my mom's family for years and will continue to be. I'm sure if something happens to the buyer in the future, I may purchase it again as a true rental if I want to.

well if you sell it then it won't be in your mom's family anymore.. But yeah I see why you would want to sell it... I am sure in this market you'd get well over asking price as well, especially considering it was upgraded

Buyer is my mom's cousin and the realtor is my mom's other cousin (also cousin to the buyer).

Here is my thing. If a parent is concerned about sending their kid because of weather than be a parent and keep em at home
