I was a fan of Linkin Park and not so much now. I think when a band loses their lead singer, they should rename the band. AC/DC is the only band that I went along with the new lead singer. All of the others have been nothing compared to their original self.
I've been thinking about this, and I can come up with one other exception: Deep Purple. They went through 3 lead singers, Rod Evans, Ian Gillan, and David Coverdale. But they also switched out guitarists, keyboardists, and bassists. Their sound changed a bit with each lineup, but they still mostly sounded like DP.

I did not like Sammy Hagar with Van Halen.

I wasn't a deep purple fan aside from the big hits like smoke on the water. I don't know at what point in their careers they changed lead singers. There are some bands touring today where none of the original members are with the band. And that stuff doesn't work for me. The female with linkin park is ok...but it's not near as good as before.

It's just not the same though Van Halen had a great career after David Lee Roth left.

I hear ya, it's like that philosophical thought exercise about Jason's boat, the Argo. If you keep replacing parts until, eventually, all the parts have been replaced, is it still Jason's Argo?

Linkin Park - I don't care for most of the new album, From Zero, except for this ballad, Good Things Go.

I never liked Sammy Hagar at all.....not even his solo shit.....

And yet I never understood why......And DLR was better eithout VH......
VH went too mainstream after like Mean Streets came out.

And ps,the only good song SH was ever involved in for me:

will always like this song/video
