What are you listening to?

New linkin park album

It’s not bad. Having a chick singer to replace Chester is not a bad idea and I generally loathe female musicians

Some music media are calling it the "album of the year". I listened to it a couple days after its release. It's okay.

I've never been a big Linkin Park fan; there were a few songs I liked off "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" and didn't like anything after that by them. The songs I do like from them aren't their most popular songs. Same with this new album, there are a couple songs I could like, most indifferent and a couple I hate. Credit to them for having musical variety on the album; most of it isn't up my alley, though. I'll probably listen to it another time or two in the future and maybe add a song or two to a playlist for a little while.

Yea, it’s not on par with the last couple albums I’ve bought from my favorite bands, but it’s a good taste of what Linkin Park was at the start. I think towards the end, they got a little lame musically, but this is more in the realm of Hybrid Theory / Meteora, not the Thousand Suns / Humanwhateverthefuck at the end.
 
Forgot how good this album was after founder Mark Reale death and they changed to Riot V.
