They've found 47 so far. Reduced to rubble, never to be inhabited again....these cities all were seriously fucked up by someone or something.

Was it the mysterious and violent Sea People? Was it 100 years of drought forced starving urbanites to flee? That wouldn't explain all being flattened. So, was it earthquakes? That wouldn't explain shit.

I haven't learned a fucking thing all weekend. Someone say some interesting bullshit.

It was liberals who implemented socialist policies and their societies went bankrupt and starved to death.

All equally likely suggestions.

I was thinking Santorini kicked it off and they all started scrounging to survive and slaughtering each other.

Still, nobody ever rebuilt and the smashed sites are still ruins??
That's like angry aliens and bogeyman shit.

The remaining nephilim?
Giants. Or the warring aliens in the sky the ancient Indians wrote about.

Whoever imported all of the worlds highest quality copper from tUP flexed some muscles.

Often referred to as tSea People, it was a coalition of multiple cultures. You can see this from Egyptian artwork. Different hair styles, helmets, weapons, armor, etc.

But I don't know who the fuck they were.

Prolly Atlantian refugees and refugees from their colonies and territories.

The Romans and Greeks used a lot of the ancient foundations. Like in Heliopolis/Baalbek.

Oh yeah! I can see it - a massive fleet going all the way to Michigan, mining those little veins everywhere and bringing back all that copper. They sold it to the pharaoh or whomever and then predictably get fucked over on the deal. So, the fleet attacked and killed all those mofos for not paying.

They probably realized, eventually, it was just easier to kill the civilization first and take the shit....instead of waiting to get fucked on a laborious copper deal.

My guess as to what happened to them is that something happened which caused the people to migrate or at least spread out of large population centers. This could have been disease, famine, or wars or just a cost of living thing where the cities taxed themselves out of existence and caused people to migrate outward. Over time as the cities became less inhabited they were razed and materials from the city made their way other places to build new, smaller cities. You'd have to imagine that it was very time consuming to create building materials, so why let some just sit and go to waste. Go back and raze a building and use its materials elsewhere. Take less time to drag out cornerstones and support beams than to create new ones.

I don't think the intercontinental fleet necessarily made the entire voyage.

The portage at tSoo and at Niagera would be a real pain in the ass.

But maybe. No matter how it got out of North America, it was a massive importer getting the copper.

I think I've seen the copper used in Egypt and the ME was UP and Canadian copper...if I'm not mistaken. They thought the Mayans went up there to get it for awhile.
In any case, there must have been some global trade back then which we've never uncovered.
