What did you get for Christmas?

Broke the cherry on the coffeemaker.

Interesting. I’ll let you know once I read it. I didn’t watch the American Gods TV series. I liked the book but thought it dragged on a bit. It is toward the bottom of my list as far as preferences for Neil Gaiman books. Of those that I’ve read, I’d probably rank them:

Neverwhere
Good Omens
The Ocean at the End of the Lane
The Graveyard Book
American Gods
Norse Mythology
Stardust
Good Omens is one of my favorites. I just reread it last year before the show came out. The show was well done too.

There's a reading and books forum here if you havent seen it yet

Golf was a common one this year. I got my brother a dozen balls since his wife is getting him lessons. I got the gf a driver for Christmas, and a dozen balls for her birthday. She got me a new bag.
Which driver did you go with?

The lady friend is looking at the TaylorMade Sim 3 wood, but not a new driver. I'll keep an eye open for her, I guess.

I might buy a new putter this off-season.

Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are both brilliant fantasy writers in their own ways. I really enjoyed that book.

Meh

a gold dive watch doesn't make sense to me.

If you are going gold Rolex, just stick to a Day-Date...or just a date

a gold day-date is an old fart's watch.

agree to disagree, as i'd love to get my hands on a fully-gold submariner or GMT

IMO, Corralejo is one of the best values in sipping tequila. Someone brought me one from Mexico years ago. Based on the bottle I thought it'd be junk, but man that shit is goooood!
