Jerry at least possessed some football knowledge. He has gone full Al Davis (senile) at this point, but Stephen is just his spoiled son with 0 football knowledge. Jerry at least played very high level in the game (starting guard on an NCAA national champion)

The knowledge part has never been the problem.

The issue with Jerry:
When a child asks his mom if he can do something and mom says no. So the child goes and asks his dad and dad gives him permission. Knowing the mom said no.

In Dallas, the coaches are mom and Jerry is dad and the players know they don't have to do what the coaches say. All they have to do is call Jerry.

I'd rather have a no-nothing than an owner who constantly undermines his coaches.
