You're missing nothing. Pepsi initially defended it strongly, before reversing course and apologizing to everyone- including Jenner, who of course was paid for the ad.I never saw that commercial and hopefully will never again.
There'll be plenty of other shitty SJW ads and rebranding efforts. Advertisers rarely, if ever care about negative press.
