Yea and that's just one device, imagine 7 Xboxes a Nintendo switch and 2 gaming rigs of just updating lol
And now that things stream in 4k, that's like 10gb of data per hour of use. Doesn't take much to do 100 hours of streaming in a month, that's just 3 hours of TV per day. If you have 4 people watching multiple things at the same time, that's gone quick.

YouTube. So much better than Xfinity. Can add/drop extra channels and features with the click of a button online. Base price is fixed and includes basically every sports channel. Big thing for me is that you can get NFL redzone with it, and I think there’s only one other streaming platform that offers it. Will absolutely never go back to cable.

Only bad thing is they lost fox sports Detroit (Balley sports or whatever the fuck it’s called now). Not a huge baseball fan but it was nice to watch the red wings. If they ever get good you can now buy that as a stand alone option but it’s really too expensive to justify.

The worst part about cable is having to haggle for package prices and rented equipment. And then it’s impossible to cancel. No thanks.
You sure you aren't one of my son-in-laws? You sound exactly like them.

Comcast, just paid my bill. A few bucks shy of $200. Thats starting to become my biggest utility bill.
It is obvious you don't have to pay for Texas air conditioning in the summer! Some people have electric bills in the summer that are higher than their mortgage payments.

I have 2 daughters and a wife.. they seem to use all those premium channels for shows (HBO for Euphoria, Starz for HighTown, Epix for War of the Worlds, SHO... for my boxing fetish)

I know it's a ridiculous amount to pay every month for TV but I don't see it changing anytime soon.

EDIT... one plus of xfinity is that I can just talk to the remote and say a show or movie title.. and if it's only available on Hulu or Amazon prime it automatically logs me into it so I can start viewing it
You are now in the DODO club I started over 40+ years ago. Dads Of Daughters Only..............we are a bunch of DODOs trying to survive the Estrogen Ocean!

I should of said “starting to become my biggest utility bill for the full year.”

My electric bill was almost $300 in July. Now it’s been piss hot the last 3/4 weeks so that’s why. I’m a lucky one my electric bill won’t touch my mortgage but I also have a gas bill as I have gas and electric.

I only care about college football as far as sports go. I will watch NFL here and there and especially the playoffs and Super Bowl, baseball the same way and the World Series. But college football I will watch every game I can. I normally have a TV, my Kindle, and my iPad going at the same time. I begin my SlingTV subscription about now each season and end it about a week after the national title game.

ESPN+ for $6.99 for every German soccer game. $7.99 for Paramount+. So combined $15 I get Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, European International, USA International road/home, FA Cup, German Pokal, Champions League, Europa League. Problem is I need Comcast for Peacock and damn EPL. I don't care about any other sport. I can do without or whatever is on Comcast, i.e. NFL and college football at times.

I quote: "human relationships come secondary to watching as much soccer as humanly possible".

Illegal streaming. The good old American way!
I found England vs Germany Nations League on England Channel 4 Sports stream recently. Spotty connection, but still only way to watch. I googled and found it. Google can be your best friend at times.

I still have ATT U-verse and I pay just shy of $200 a month. That includes seriously fast fiber internet though. Only bad thing is they got in a fight with the nfl network so I don’t get it. Someday I’ll go the streaming route but for now I’m fairly happy.
