My first reaction was that is a lot of money, even from someone getting paid $11 million a year. It's not just the cost, it's the annual maintenance and taxes which are going to be high for SoCal.

But, I then thought he has been making $5-7 million a year in Oklahoma for 6 years, USC is buying his 2 OK homes, and it is reported they are giving him $6 million toward the house. They are paying his 4 million OU buyout. Also, he'll be paying a mortgage and if he gets fired he'll sell it for more than he bought it. Likely a lot more the way Cali works.

The main thing is this is something for his wife and kids. He will never be around, so you better make it good for them. Palos Verdes is an incredible area for his kids and wife. A couple bad ass country clubs in the are - I have my only hole in one at the Palos Verdes Country Club.

So, good for him. I wish I had a house like that. Sweet setup.
