Perfectly honest, it looks familiar, but I am not sure if I have seen it or not. I just recall the whole black face thing.
 
I know it was just a few years ago, but Tropic Thunder wouldn't fly today.

I think it would be fine. There would be the same predictable idiots who would get offended without recognizing that the filmmakers addressed it pretty clearly early on in the film.

Man, that's sad. There's a few Bugs Bunny shorts that are tough to find nowadays as well. The one that features Bugs in the jungle with the witch doctor that tries to cook him is hilarious.
 
I will say that Zero The Gay Blade was ahead of its time.

Kevin Smith did a pretty good job of using and simultaneously steamrolling the term himself in the bit. Sure, you'd still get the small segment of people who get flustered over the use of the term with complete disregard for context, but most of the sane population still factors context and wouldn't cause a stink over it.
