What movies could not be made today?

Tropic Thunder is the obvious one already said a few times

There’s Something About Mary would take bullets from the crowd.

Clerks 2 and the whole “porch monkey” bit would get absolutely steamrolled.

Harold and Maude

Sounds like Kburjr is trying to get into Mary's pants too

Field of Dreams

Making a black man walk into a field would send these faggots over the edge

this is on Amazon prime right now. i haven't seen it in 30 years...but thought about watching it again. i just remember the glory hole

You forgot about Kim Cattrall's finest moment on screen

That is the type of scene where you laugh not just at her but along with all of them laughing at it, as if you are right there in gym class hearing it yourself.

Space Jam

Oh, wait I thought it was movies that SHOULD not be made

Forrest Gump.

No chance, a story about a retarded white southerner doing great things would take off.... unless he was trans.

But if she transed, she could have been a Lou Reed lyric.

Or Ray Davies maybe

I'm not a smart man... but I know what love is
And I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Jenneh
J-E-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N... mama likes when I sing the Ns

I think it would be fine. There would be the same predictable idiots who would get offended without recognizing that the filmmakers addressed it pretty clearly early on in the film.
And that’s the thing….it would only be a loud minority making the noise. While I think someone will buck it one day, no one wants to offend the whiny minority right now.

Trading Places

In fact, go over Dan Ackroyd's body of work and there's something offensive to today's audience in nearly everything he did. Ghostbusters promoted racism, rape culture, capitalism. Spies Like Us denigrated gays and objectified women. Blues Brothers appropriated black music or something. Loose Cannons and Sneakers mocked mental illness. My Girl had Maculay Culkin. etc.
