What’s the best NFL game you’ve watched that didn’t involve your team

It was the culmination of a comeback drive. High drama. Plus, this was the Bill Walsh WCO, six yards was a huge pass reception in that offense.
So, basically y’all were just watching glorified soccer back then?

It was all anybody had back then. 26" was considered a big screen.

Find it hard to believe it was more exciting that the best Manning-Brady matchup
Brady-Manning was an awesome match up, but us older dudes have the benefit of appreciating some of the classic matchups as well and witnessing how the game evolved. Montana vs Brady would have been the best theoretical match up ever.

You would have had to see the game to understand how good it was.

I was very young when I watched that game and I didn't know as much about football as I do now so my overall "viewing experience" for that game probably wasn't very good. And apparently that matters here :dhd:

A few months ago they showed the Sugar Bowl for the 1980 season where UGA beat Notre Dame to win the natty on the SEC Network. All 4 of UGA’s DB’s were white and the offense was only Herschel Walker running the ball and that was a championship winning team. Games back then just can’t compare to the modern game

Brady would have just mopped the floor with him. Hell, put Johnny Manziel in the NFL in 1982 and people would be calling him the best ever

Phil Simms had one of the best performances in a superbowl, ever, going 22 for 25 -- and a total of 268 yards. That was in January of 1987.

Tube TVs were heavy. I've got a still-functional 36" tube TV I use for my retro gaming systems (Coleco, Atari, NES, etc.). You damn near need a forklift to move that thing.

Do you know how easy it was to get cocaine in 1982? Johnny Football would have died before the first game.

October 17th 1994. Montana and the Chiefs vs Elway and the Broncos.
