What's the best school for an unmotivated head coach?

Duke. Next question?

Didn’t leach do that in Pullman too?

I lived in SoCal when the Rams came back. The L.A. area was electric. People were stoked that they were back. Then the Chargers came. Nothing. Not even crickets.

So are charger fans still primarily in San Diego?

I was in San Diego in 2013 for the Rose Bowl and the chargers made the playoffs and the city was on fire for them. Hate they lost their team.

The ones I know in San Diego are pretty pissed about it.

It was really weird and I have never completely understood the issue. I know a lot of it was the Chargers wanting a new stadium and the city not wanting to pay for it. If memory serves, a new stadium was voted down twice. It also seemed like Chargers ownership was intentionally trying to piss off both the city and their fans.

Meanwhile, the Murph had become a shit hole.

Moving to LA was pretty stupid, imo. LA is Raiders fans, Rams fans and transplants from other cities who still support their hometown teams.

The Raiders fans hate them, the Rams fans don't acknowledge their existence and everyone else either doesn't like them or ignores them.

I'd have said Vandy about this time last year. Figured they'd have loved a guy who could beat UT and make a bowl with some kind of regularity.

I'd also say Northwestern. Not as enthusiastic as other P5 student bodies/fanbases, good location, locals have plenty of other colleges/pro sports they root for and academics is a good crutch.

Just so happens to have perhaps a top 10 head coach.

Wasn't ownership's mind also basically made up and that whole stadium thing was a show? I know for sure Kroenke was with the Rams and I think Davis was with the Raiders but I feel like I remember the same with Spanos.

Either way that whole move was completely short-sightedly stupid.

New Mexico State.

Doug Martin's been there longer than half the FBS coaches have been at their current jobs.

Dean Spano’s is a blithering idiot. But personally if I was a Charger fan I’d blame Gene Klein for selling to Deans daddy all those years ago in the first place.

Yeah, I think that's why they were trying to piss off their fans and never even tried to upgrade The Murph.

But moving to LA was just dumb. They are literally the person that no one invited to the party, but heard about it and showed up anyway.

Had they been smarter, they probably could have gone into Orange County and negotiated a stadium with Anaheim which already has the Angels and Ducks or maybe even the county. They likely would have been better received and it would have been a lot easier for their fans from San Diego to get to.

Yeah. This crossed my mind. Weather is a thing on location, I assume, though.
And hit co-Ed’s? Hmmmmm. No.
