What’s the worst “great” song ever?

No doubt it got too much radio time., but I basically stopped listening to radio by '77. I wasn't exposed as much as you probably.
Satellite radio is my all time favorite invention.

I don't consider anything they have ever done great but anything by Dave Matthews or the Beach Boys, I would be quite happy if I never heard a song by either ever again!

I don't think I've ever met anyone that admits to liking Dave Matthews. Understandably so.

Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, holy fuck I hate that song!

Agree, but then I can't get enough of Born to Run
Johnny 99 for me. My favorite song Springsteen wrote was Atlantic City, but that is one of the rare times I prefer a cover to the original. The Band's version is great.

I didn't even realize George Jones did that song, doesn't sound like the same tune at all.
Stapleton tried to turn a country song into some R&B slow jam. Doesn't work. And I generally like Stapleton, not one of my favorites, but I've seen him in concert and I'd do it again.

The George Jones version works too. True country blues.
I saw George Jones in concert pretty much every year of my childhood. Met him numerous times. He never played that song, which looking back is kind of weird, it's one of the songs that revitalized his career after he hit rock bottom.(He Stopped Loving Her Today was what really kicked off his comeback, but Tennessee Whiskey was one that helped him keep his comeback going)
