Jesus. Wild Card Wednesday. Missed opportunity

didn't do anything last night.

cooked up some dinner, watched the baseball game, started a new book.

I really hate the Wild Card round in baseball.

it's dumb.
eh. I don't mind it. I see the arguments against it. I like that it incentivizes winning your division while also giving more teams a shot at making the playoffs, and still not oversaturating the playoffs. And it leads to more last weeks of baseball like this season.

Morning. Watched a bit of the game last night when we were out eating dinner, but didn't really care enough to watch when I got home. Probably will do the same tonight, as both teams unfortunately can't lose.

“Start spreading the news…”

Ahhhh…Yankees lose to Red Sox. It still gives me priapism

Meh… it made sense for the yanks and sox since they were tied anyway

but I think it’s messed up that the dodgers were a full 16 games better than the cards, but now they could have one single bad game (in a sport otherwise built entirely around the concept of series and playing a shitload of games) and the cards get in over them.

Again I don't mind it. Incentivizes the division. Also made that division exciting to watch all the way to very last day of the season. Whereas, both of those teams would have taken their foot off the gas for the entire last month if it was under the old format.

Is it fair? No. But it makes for more exciting baseball.

they should have done better than the Giants then they wouldn't be in this position.
