What's your go-to for a heat wave?

My fight the heat response is

  • Stay inside more

  • Swimming

  • Eat lighter food offerings

  • Hydrate

  • Take a trip somewhere cooler

  • Curl up into the fetal position and mainline potato salad

An estimated 150 million people are under a heat advisory of some form currently. The poll question is when it gets extremely hot (i.e. hotter than normal for your area) what do you do to endure it?

We were having heat waves before it was cool (late last week). Now it's quite pleasant.
 
The squirts if I eat anything heavy and go out into the heat.

I saw on the other thread that they were talking about canceling activities because it was in the 90’s. We’d have to close down the state from June through September if that was the standard.

I love the cold in the winter and I love the heat in the summer. When I was younger, I feel like we'd always have a few 100+ days. Now if it's in the 90s, people we themselves.

That said, I take a sandwich bag, fill it with ice and water, drop my cock n balls in and duct tape it on. Works like a charm.

My son is at summer conditioning/agility camp right now, which is outdoors sprinting and footwork drills. This afternoon, before evening I mean, he has a two hour baseball practice.

My only concern is if he wears enough sunscreen.
