What's Your Team's 2021 potential 'Trap Game'.

I’d say Cincinnati because they’re wedged between Wisconsin and Navy which always takes special preparation for, but Cincinnati should be decent this year so not really a “trap” game.

Kentucky is sandwiched between Auburn and Florida. So, Kentucky is a trap game for UGA.

Ole Miss

1 week before a road game at Aggie. Lane would love to be the first former assistant to beat Saban.

Do they lead with their heads too?

That's nice cliche and all, but every coach says it. Do you think they'd tell you any different? I know I can hear Charlie Strong and Tom Herman uttering those bold words. LOL

The fact of the matter is the coaches aren't the one's playing the games. It's 18-22 year old's with a lot of distractions in their lives.
You're a tejas fan. You ever heard the phrase "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink"?
Came here to say this.

Probably the home game vs ECU. It sits between road games @ Navy and @ Cincy.

@ Ole Miss. The week before the Iron Bowl.

Also maybe @Tennessee.

Georgia Southern

Sandwiched between the North Dakota game and the Oklahoma game.

Northwestern (Aug 27th): Frost is 2-2 against Fitz. Nebraska lost their opener to Illinois last season. That's an Illinois that had come off a (2-6) campaign the season prior and had Bert Bielema as first season head coach in his opener. Illinois finished (5-7). Nebraska players will spend the fall practice month of August listening to fan and media hype.
Due to that hype, I favor Northwestern in this game.
North Dakota (Sept 3rd): If Nebraska loses to Northwestern the fans and media will be screaming. Fans and media screaming seems to be the only motivation factor for Husker football. It's a week-to-week rollercoaster.
Georgia Southern (Sept 10th): Nebraska will spend all week with their heads in the clouds being praised by fans and media for beating North Dakota. They'll be looking ahead to Oklahoma. Here comes an egg laying clusterfuck with penalties, turnovers, etc.
Oklahoma (Sept 17th): If Nebraska loses to Georgia Southern the fans and media will be screaming which will hopefully be enough motivation to keep from getting blown out by the Sooners. I still expect a loss, but a moral victory nonetheless.
Indiana (Oct 1st): "Moral victories" still garner praise from fans and media. Nebraska will have a bye week before this game which makes it 2 weeks for the players to listen to praise from fans and media for the moral victory against Oklahoma. With 2 weeks steady diet of Little Caesars Hot&Readys, Xbox, and Susy Rottencrotch, the Huskers lay an egg here.
Frost is (0-5) coming off of bye weeks.

Have you ever thought about cheering for another team?

Georgia doesn’t have any games that I’d really call a trap game. To me a trap game is a game against a solid team sandwiched between two rivals or two really good teams. Georgia’s schedule is kind of light this year.

But I’ll say @Mississippi State. It’s a road game and if you don’t come in ready, they can put up a lot of points in a hurry

A&M game against Miss St worries me. An up and down team the week before the Bama game.

Have you ever thought about cheering for another team?

I cheer for Air Force (I'm an 8 year vet) and Southern Miss (my main alma mater) too. However, those 2 don't have near the resources Nebraska does and likely never will. I'd root for Nebraska over them both.

I did take correspondence courses through Oklahoma and Maryland when I was overseas, but my degrees were completed at USM.

"Have you ever thought about cheering for another team?"

I'm a realist with 4 years of Frost data to back up my words.

"We got our minds right now" - Players and coaches after a loss.
"This is the best week of practice I've seen yet" - Frost after a loss.

Nebraska doesn't build off of wins or moral victories going into the next week, they squander them.

The closest thing to a trap game is @Maryland before the Ohio State but I doubt we lose that game.

I see a 7-5 or 8-4 season this year
Definite losses to Ohio State, Wisconsin
Probable losses to @Michigan and @Penn State
Possible loss to @Washington

Eastern Washington

coming off UGA and the week before BYU Oregon plays a solid FCS opponent who was 10-3 last season

But all I know is that after each of those weeks, we will have had the best practice ever.
