I want it down, packed, and back in the attic so I can have my garage space back.

It's just me and the wife and a cat living in this big house.

There are a few rooms in my house that I've not walked into more than twice this past year. That part of the house is cooled and heated by it's own central A/C and so since no one uses them anymore we just close the doors to that section and don't even run the a/c or heat unless it is extremely cold or hot weather.

One of these unused bedrooms has become the storage place for all holiday decorations. I have a fake tree that is already decorated and has lights....I simply drag it into the room to be displayed during Christmas holidays and when we are done I simply unplug it from electrical socket and drag it, as is, into that bedroom.

Now my wife has all these little Christmas decoration statues and other shit all over the house. She decorates in every room in the house except the laundry room. It takes a couple of days to find them all because there are so many...everywhere...she even decorates the bathrooms. One year about 5 or 6 months after Christmas one of our family members used the bathroom in the guest bedroom and then asked us why we had a snow globe on the window sill. We laughed....we must have missed it and never went back into that bathroom since we thought we had collected all the decorations.

I must admit, I don't like decorating...at all!
I like to look at them.....but I hate putting them up. That's why I have the fake tree that stays decorated. I'm in charge of the tree. haha

After I built my shed (big shed, small workshop) my wife suggested that there was enough room to put the tree so we don't have to decorate it each year. Oh and the wreaths too, and her bells.

As I mentioned in another thread I didn't get the three car garage I wanted with this house, so told her absolutely not. Worst case I had a tiny house in the backyard to live in, but she relented. I still have to break it down and haul it up into he attic but my workshop isn't cluttered with her shit. :suds:

I've never ate cat. But I have eaten squirrels, rabbits and even raccoon before.

Rabbits tend to have a sweet taste if farm raised and a very strong game taste if wild harvested. Coons taste the same...maybe a little stronger game taste. (I've only ate wild coon)

There is some glands you need to remove before cooking coons. All these animals are quite delicious when smoked and then cooked in a brown gravy.

I would imagine cat tastes similar...
Braised rabbit with carrots, small potatoes and onions is God's food!

rabbit and other small animals seem like too much work for the payout. I think most game birds are the same. I'm not hunting quail because I'm not going to spend the time to clean and cook them when I can get a chicken wing at any grocery store.

Christmas decorations are down and just in time. It started raining last night and hasn’t stopped. I got a busy week before Friday when I leave for 10 day cruise

Still try to do one over a campfire every year. Bar none, the best rabbit.

I have been afraid to because they are so lean to begin with. I soak mine in milk over night. Then make a stew with a brown gravy sauce...potato's and carrots always seem to be there too. And then greens.

Do you do anything to them before grilling?

Ref the op...As soon as I get the energy and there's not a blizzard going on.

Nope, just thaw one out, pat dry it, and then salt and pepper to taste. Bury a couple bakers in the edges of the coals. Maybe baste it with some bacon grease. I have done that a couple times.

everything but the tree is down...that will be happening this week sometime.
