I think Michael Harris should win ROTY, which is crazy because Spencer Strider is 4th in the NL in strikeouts while being 40th in innings pitched. Vaugh Grissom hasn’t but up as long, but his rate stats are better than Harris’s.

It’s crazier because this isn’t a rebuilding team and the farm system is pretty thin.

What are some other great rookie classes for teams post integration?

2006 Marlins had a ridiculous rookie class. Josh Willingham, Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, Josh Johnson, Scott Olsen and Anibal Sanchez. Six rookies putting up 2+ WAR, four of them had 3+. Hanley won NL RoY.

‘78 Tigers has two HOFers in Tramm and Morris. And prolly a third in Lou Whitaker. Plus Lance Parrish. Whitaker being ROY.

Tough to top.

And prolly why Sparky took the job.

Yeah, hard to imagine any competing with that. Whitaker is the biggest HOF snub IMO

Only class outside of the A’s with Mickey Cochrane and Lefty Grove with two Two HOFers.

Hopefully it’s the only one with three soon. Lou finally got his #1 retired last month. Should have went in with Tramm imo.

Should have been first ballot TBH

I don’t really understand why the voters snubbed him early like they did.

Think he was off the ballot after year one.

Lou and Bobby Grich have been waiting way to long.
Never can tell with writers, but he was a one and done.

Guess he didn’t have an eye popping peak, and the writers of the time didn’t value being really good for a really long time

He never stood for the anthem one time.

Not that it is the reason, but I don’t know what else they would have.
