The school doesn't pay the NIL deals, so not sure why you are linking the two. I agree the OP number isn't well researched and seems to be just a summation of media rumors, but school revenue isn't very useful here. Of course there will be NIL efforts and donations that are separate from the schools generated revenue. NIL deals also span multiple years while revenue is a singular annual number.

Well I’m sure it’s not all large donations but that’s got to be the bulk of deal closers. I don’t think there’s enough Oregon fans to get anywhere near $1B. That’s Uncle Phil all the way.

When there are one-off projects they do hit up the mega donors with naming offers and things like that, but the bulk of the budget are the $100-$1000 donations.
