OOC rivalries create a different dynamic than in conference rivalries. Usually adds another "difficult" opponent.

Seems there are a lot of OOC rivalries between SEC and ACC teams. Kentucky/Louisville, Clemson/South Carolina, Florida/Florida State, Georgia/Georgia Tech. Yet they also have in conference rivalries which is more of the norm like Ole Miss/Miss State, Bama/Auburn, Tennessee/Vandy (which ain't much of one). I guess all the rivalries in the B1G are in conference except USC/ND, Oregon/Oregon State, Washington/Washington State. Big 12 won't have any OOC rivalries that I can think of now that BYU/Utah are in the same conference. In fact, I can't think of any other Big 12 teams that have a rivalry at ell except Arizona/Arizona State. Maybe an OOC one between TCU/SMU but it really doesn't seem to stir much up.

Army/Navy was one but they are in the same conference now I believe. I guess the other Commander in Chief games might be. Texas/Oklahoma was before the Big 12. Pitt/West Virginia isn't played every year anymore is it? Texas/A&M would have been but they wouldn't play.

What a dumb idea from Riley.

USC can keep the annual Irish rivalry game and just simply schedule cupcakes each year for the other two remaining OOC games. Sacramento State, Portland State, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, etc. would fit such a scheduling strategy perfectly.
 
I have to LOL at USC. Maybe if they weren't so shitty for the last 15 years, TV executives would have paid more for them to stay in the P12. Now they want to run from ND, because their schedule will be harder. LOL. Take away the Pete Carroll days and this program has been trash for 30+ years. Bunch of pussies.

Wild Turkey couldn't get into my account if he wanted to. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that USC under Riley is running from any tough obstacle it possibly can and it looks like they now want to dodge my Fighting Irish. So be it its not like my team has a lack of big programs that want to play us and I'm sure that Michigan would happily slide into their spot if they want to act like little girls.
