It’s designed to be inoffensive. Probably came from the same think tank that transformed the Cleveland Indians into the ‘Guardians’.

Likely it will take at least a couple of decades before Commanders is considered offensive to someone.

Guardians actually makes sense for Cleveland with that bridge and stuff....

Commanders just sounds like they are sucking up to the military

I don't think there is anything offensive...but it doesn't inspire any kind of enjoyment out of me

my company is changing their name today...back to the name it was when I started with the company in 2007.

but we keep the same stupid toothpaste looking logo that we had with the old name while the old name gets a new logo.

I don't understand that at all.

but they are sending us new swag with the new company name on it...so that will make us all happy, right?

Some statues on a bridge? Naw, it’s just lame. Both teams decided they didn’t want even a hint of Native American tie-in, and went bland.

Yeah, the Navy tie-in is there if they want it. But the branding seems more to be a defensive alternative, rather than an exciting new direction.
