In the United States, as many as 85% of male newborns were circumcised in 1965. But that number has fallen steadily for the past half-century, especially as immigration from countries where circumcision is not common has increased. In 2011, the Nationwide Inpatient Sample, as reported by U.S. hospitals, put newborn males' circumcision rate at 57%.

Daughter brought this issue up with me last week, Boomers like me don't even think of it. Quite a discussion between her and her husband....for baby to look like him or to remain intact.

I got into a conversation with a woman at a party a few years back. She and her husband just had a little boy and she was telling us how she had heard that sex is better for guys when they aren't circumcised so her son wouldn't be getting circumcised...and I thought that was a really weird reason to make that decision...

But the argument for getting circumcised...apart from not looking different from other males...pretty much nonexistent.

Yeah, the temp gradient is too damn high. We are up to 3" or so so far but windier than predicted. Have a bunch of drifting with bare patches. The drifts will move when the wind changes directions this evening.
