No hope for Miami. I kind of agree with these votes. A lot of love for FSU right now. I guess it will come down to whether Mike Norvell can get things turned around or not.

I think FSU and USC have the easiest route to return (with exception of maybe Michigan who was already a playoff contender this past season) of the group.

I almost stuck Notre Dame on the list as well since they haven't won it all since 1988.

Well, uh, to be fair it's been 7830 days since Oklahoma has won a National Championship in football but who's counting? 2000. Almost 22 years now. The last shot we had was when Muleshoe's underwear was overflowing and he threw one away in 2018 when he didn't trust his #1 rated offense with a Heisman QB and three first team All-Americans to make a doable first down in overtime. None of the players now at OU were even alive the last time we won a National Championship in football. Think about that. :tsk:

I was going to vote, but LSU ain't on the list.
With that ex ND goober, I'm not very optimistic about LSU returning. Hope that fucker proves me wrong, but I ain't holding my breath

Yeah, I could have included them. UCLA is a minor power though. If I added UCLA, I would have also had to add Washington, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Arkansas, etc. UCLA is about on par with this group.

LSU won it in 2019, that is only 3 years ago. That makes them exempt.

I know Oklahoma has been awhile as well but they have been a consistent power and are not a "Fallen" power. Most of this is reputation anyways.

Florida. They almost made the playoffs two years ago with Trask. If they recruit they can ball.

UCLA is better than those teams.

Nebraska needs a QB, plain and simple. Tennessee looked a lot better this year since we had a decent QB. Nebraska's QB reminds me so much if Jarrett Guarantano at Tennessee. We were so inconsistent with him.

USC is the easy choice here.
- They have the money to throw around like many others on this list
- They have it easy like Kirby Smart and Georgia living in rich recruiting grounds with minimum competition.
- Current coaching staff have a track record of producing elite level offenses and QBs. IMO you need either a top tier offense or defense with a capable coordinator on the other end to win it all.
- Proven to be able to grab top names from the transfer portal like Williams and Addison

Someone must be trolling the Nebraska fans with those votes. They have to get to an actual bowl game before they can win a national title. :hide:

I'll have to wait and see how all the NIL and Portal and shit works itself out.

It might be that we see a team come out of nowhere every year, a different team every year.
Like LSU a few years back.

If that's the case, then everyone has a shot.
How and why, I can't answer yet.

There's no way to tell where it goes from here.
