In your esteemed opinion, who is it?

Aaron Rodgers and no one else is even close.

Baker Mayfield is holding out?

That’s pretty funny.

why are these people holding out? I know Rodgers and Watson, rest looking for money?

Lamar Jackson had his 5th year picked up. Pretty sure he wants more money. And he deserves it

Didn't even know most of these guys were holding out. Deshaun better get back to work. He's going to have some big checks to write

Hasn’t signaled he’s going to camp, though he’s hosted mini sessions with fellow malcontents. Dunno, something about wanting a new contract. If he plays well, betting on himself, then he can negotiate a mega contract with the Browns easily, since he’d be a RFA. If he plays poorly, then it’s a weaker position.

If he balls out he’ll get tagged. And that’s stupid money.

I’ve never understood why guys hate the tag so much. In a league with very few guaranteed deals, that’s the route imo.

It's the equivalent of forcing you to bet on yourself. Teams can really only afford to do it once per every two years with any given player. What it generally (though not always) does is to signal that the team doesn't like you enough to negotiate a medium or long term deal with you, and will likely cut ties after the tag year is up.

That’s the thing, why do guys even want a long term deal?

They aren’t real.

Kirk Cousins isn’t in the upper half of QBs in the league. But he’s the best I’ve ever see at maximizing money. If you are going to sign a long term deal, or do it if it’s guaranteed money. Imo.

to me it is Watson. Without a doubt!

Because the signing bonus is tied somewhat to the number of "years" in the contract. You can't give someone $60 million in guaranteed money, if you don't also sign him to 3+ years, even if it's at the veteran minimum. Maybe it's a stupid union throw-in, I don't know.

As for Cousins, that was as much him raking the Redskins and Snyder over the coals, as it was Washington's mismanagement and mistreatment of Cousins. WFT continues to be in the bottom 10% of worst-run teams in the League, and the Cousins stuff was merely par for the course: the team had no fallback option after Cousins, promoted a dud like Dwayne Haskins and has zero plan for the future beyond whatever FitzMagic gives them for 1 year.

He's not expected in minicamp. You see him and the other rookie qbs from that draft class in the same situation. Agents negotiating contract extensions. No reports of anything terribly worrying out of that camp though.

Hell yeah, if I’m Jackson I’m holding out. Another bad playoff performance is going to harm his rep even further. Get that long term deal now.

If Aaron Rodgers is a choice, he’s my pick in a douchebag poll

what the hell is Josh Allen holding out for?? Didn't he recently get a massive new contract from Buffalo? Or am I mis-remembering?

Two different answers based on the angle of the question:

If you're talking about who is the biggest douchebag as a person, it's Watson. Trying to use your fame and stature to coax massage therapists to rape you takes the cake.

If you're talking about the douchiest reason to hold out, it's Rodgers. The other guys are about money or excessive roster purging; Rodgers is holding out because his feefees got a booboo.

Rodgers, but with Lamar looks douchey when he looked like a back up at the end of the year.
