Fan, manny, hitman, and others caught the ban. Maybe not technically permanent, because of MadNova's get out of jail free on 4/1 for the day thing, but there were regular posters who got banned.

Hell, when we were actively moderating the forums, there was a thread for who got banned, for how long, and why, so the rest of the gibbering halfwits wouldn't make multiple threads about why did so and so get banned.

I mean, for the most part, there wasn't people turning threads into personal battles, and after the first couple years, the mods were pretty much told to only manage the content and not be responsible for flagging infractions.

I mean, as a super mod, you should have had some say in stopping all the objectionable material you saw, so why didn't you?

Because I knew it wasn't "the next 4chan" like ill seems to be worried about this site becoming. The Admin board had it's watchdog thread where certain nutjobs were monitored, but outside of the people you mentioned and Hammerdo...I mean, beareezy, it was just a bunch of middle aged dudes talking sportsball and calling each other the gayz from time to time, like here. The nutjob count between S-B and here are probably pretty similar.
