They have lost hope... that generally happens to most football programs about this time.
 
Mel Tucker trying to do something no coach in this rivalry has done since before MSU joined the Big Ten and go 2-0 against the other.

I've lived in Michigan my whole life, been to about 50 Michigan games, been a die hard UM fan my whole life -- hell, I'm going to watch a Pop Warner game at the Big House tomorrow morning before the UM/MSU game -- so I'm thinking I've met a few UM fans.

Truth be told -- no one expected UM to be where they are right now. UM was a TRAIN WRECK last year. The best DE, the best LB, the best Offensive Lineman UM had left for the NFL. I predicted UM to win 7 games total. Most predicted between 5-8 games. No one saw 7-0 coming or our defense playing as well as it has, or our OL playing as well as it has.

Every fan base has the over the top homers -- UM definitely has a lot, but I am far from that. I am very realistic on my expectations.

False. Every Michigan fan is going to be looking at this game waiting for the worst events possible to lead to a devastating loss.
 
I don't know if Sparty fans would meltdown if they lost a close one...maybe if they got blown TF out...OR, if they lost on some kind of last-second play, perhaps

UM fans, OTOH, are melting down no matter how they lose.

If UGA loses, I just need to delay the start of the punishment until after the World Series. Braves season turned around when I switched to the Hand Banana avatar and I don’t think it’s a coincidence and I’m not willing to risk taking it down
