You remember hanging on the news as Yaz won the triple crown in 1967 but Bobby Orr who's rookie season was 1966-1967 was before your time?
You saved me the trouble of responding. Like @Southie said, he's not a hockey guy so he likely mixed up the years.

Editing quotes just makes both of you look bad. It's stupid. Don't do it. You're basically GnG when you edit quotes.

Re-read line 2 of my post.....

Almost right. Hockey did not exist for me in 67. I was in Southern Calfornia in the sixties. Kne nothing about Bobby Orr or hockey.
Baseball was big in Cali in the 60's I was really into it. We did not own a TV but I listened on the radio, played the game, collected baseball cards and read books about the baseball greats.....

Why wasn’t “The Strangler” an option? I’d like a re-vote if he is.

Honorable mentions for....
Willie O'Ree, Bill Russell & Jim Rice.
Good grief. O'Ree played less than 1 full season in the NHL and no one outside of diehard Bruins fans no one even knows who the hell he is.

Russell should be revered, but other than old school Celtics's fans and @HammerDown he never gets the accolades that he should.

Jim Rice? Fuck you're dumb.

I went with Orr & Yaz in the poll....and even though it's Boston, I added O'Ree, Russell & *Rice as HM's just to give it all some much needed color.

*It was basically a coin flip between Rice & David Ortiz......which Rice won.

Deel widit, idjits.
