And then if you go forward 10 years from these things you get pagers. And I was explaining to my son how I accidentally called 911 once and hung up. I started talking about pagers and he looked at me like I was speaking another language.
 
better yet, the video games you played on it were in black and white. I played a lot of black and white Atari games. Though I remember them actually being more greenish.
Did you have a pair of pliers next to said TV to change the channel because the knob broke off?

My dad has both. Still has 8tracks he listens to. Or claims to, haven't seen him with them out in a decade.

No, the newspaper had the listings on the 2nd to last page under the daily TV guide.
 
I remember playing "fantasy football" in the Dallas morning news. Had to mail in who I wanted on my team and weekly changes. You could see the standings every Tuesday morning in the sports section.
