Once your 5 year old daughter sees the Princesses, you'll be there twice a year on that nuclear power plant salary of yers.
 
No tree or decorations here.

Gifts are all bought, shipped, delivered and opened.

No baking and no turkey pot pie adventure this year either.

Looking forward to a nice dinner out with two of the kids and their spouses.

One year before my dad retired (at 73!) he wanted to take the entire family to Hawaii for Xmas.

I had zero inclination to give up my hard won days off to travel.

So it was like a game show for us, I had the choice of the trip or the cash. I took the cash and never thought twice about it.

The rest of them (my Mon and Dad, 2 brothers and one sister with their spouses and 2 kids each) went for 7 days, 2 of which were nothing but airports.

I got to sit back and watch NFL.

Going to finish shopping this weekend. Might bake a couple batches of cookies this weekend, but my sister and my daughter are doing their Zoom baking next weekend, so we won't be done that until then.
 
Out of state gifts bought, packaged and shipped last month!! Local gifts will be delivered soon. But gotta hide the "catnip drugged" toys from the cat.

My 4 Ft fake green, with pre-installed fiber optic lights, tree on the top of bookcase next to the LR window sill is up and working... :nod:

Hoping my new cat isn't gonna take it down anytime soon. But she's been pretty good with things so far. GOOD Kitty Cat!! :biggrin:
