Why bowl games are valuable ...

Was going to make a separate thread on this, but this is as good a place as any.

I don't know what it's like on cable, satellite, or on other streaming services (Youtube, etc), but on HULU there are very few commercials during ESPN breaks.

They play a couple minutes of an ESPN+ ad.

It gets annoying at times because it's the same ad and is repetitive. I think I'd rather watch commercials.

ESPN is really using these bowl games to pimp ESPN+ (At least on HULU).

To be fair I didn't watch a lot of ESPN during the regular season because the better games were on FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC.

Running the ESPN+ ad over-and-over may be a deal between ESPN and HULU to give HULU a cheaper price to stream them.

You must think these huge corporations love throwing money away.
They do. My favorite quote about advertising

"Half of advertising works, I jus don't know which half."

Misquoted: ‘Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half.’ This famous quote from successful US merchant and forefather of marketing, John Wanamaker
