Will Saban retiring really bring parity back to the sport?

Replacing Saban will be the toughest job on the planet. Replacing Saban will be the second hardest.

Jimbo showed how to beat Saban and now all of Sabans' disciples are getting in on the act.
Kirby actually did a very rare thing in that he beat Saban with talent. Really no one has done that because no one has had the on field talent to go blow by blow. You beat Bama by out coaching them and playing smarter.

Alabama injuries helped considerably because you take their two best receivers off the field with that defense and it was just a matter of time. One thing was proved and that was Bryce Young can’t put the game on his shoulders and win it. He is like a lot of other QBs in that he has had the benefit of one of the best lines and best receivers. Those were taken away and he went from superstar to just above average.

I'll be surprised if there is another program that goes on a run like the one Bama has been on. A big part of what got Bama to this point is the fact that Saban has done a couple of things that most coaches don't do.

1. He has stayed - when coaches start having the kind success that Saban has had at Bama, other schools and the NFL start calling and offering big checks and eventually someone makes an offer that is too good to pass on. That hasn't happened with Saban.

2. He has changed - Winning is more important to him than his ''coaching philosophy''. Most coaches have their ''system'' or ''philosophy'' on how to win and are unwilling to change. So, new innovations come along, coaches don't adjust, the game passes them by and they end up retiring or getting fired. Saban has ''changed with the times'', even doing things like bringing in Lane Kiffin to modernize his offense.

I agree with you for the most part, but I think our DL was better than most they ran into and that gave them trouble. You saw the same with UGA, once the OL got a little tired the defense just made Young uncomfortable on every drop back. No idea how our offense kept up, I guess looking at it ST was really our difference and that's a coin flip most games.

I'm just hear to talk about the eliteness of Luke Jackson

If Alabama's receivers had been healthy in the national championship game this thread wouldn't even exist. A couple of key injuries are the only thing between a tough loss and Saban being hated on even more for winning another NC. Alabama isn't going anywhere when Saban retires. It's up to the rest of us to get better, not hope Alabama gets weaker.

Is Georgia also 100% healthy in this scenario?

Bryce Young made multiple clutch throws in Key spots that his recievers didn’t catch. He is nowhere near the reason Bama lost

Ifs and Buts. Do I think we win if we have Jamo and Metchie..yeah, but we didn’t. Jamo already had 4 catches for 64 yards when he got hurt…..doesn’t matter tho they got hurt and Bama didn’t win. 10 years from now the only thing people will remember from this game is who won and that was Georgia.

It’s Bama’s fault for fiddle fucking around all season with all these shitty teams so we weren’t able to get our backups experience.

Or just don’t recruit brittle bitches

Yes. Congratulations to Georgia for playing a tremendous game and winning the National Championship. It was impressive and you guys deserved the win. But Alabama at 100% is going to beat anyone. With the best coach in the business and a talent level superior to any other team, they're virtually unbeatable right now if they are at 100%. It's not a knock on Georgia or any other program. Georgia is the closest right now to getting to their level but Ohio State and some other schools can get there with a little luck. I just don't want Alabama getting weaker in one game or for an entire season so my team or any other team can beat them. That's no way to go through life.

I’d take a full strength UGA over a full strength Bama in 2021.

Poor Bama down to 4 and 5 star freshmen receivers, never mind the fact the 3 4th quarter TDS for UGA were scored by freshmen, one just a lowly 3 star.

Secondary for UGA was stretched super thin with injuries and injuries have been an issue with receivers all season.

I won’t let Bama fans get away with injury excuses, can’t let an Oklahoma fan get away with me either. Nothing personal

I didn't say he was the reason you lost. I said he wasn't a QB that could put a team on their shoulders and will the team to win. Examples would be:

Vince Young
Cam Newton
Johnny Manzel
Andrew Luck
Dak Prescott
Manning brothers
I'll add Tua because he pull some crap out his butt.

Those guys could elevate their team and carry them.

I'll also say that Matt Corral deserved the Heisman more than Young did when you consider how valuable they were to the team.
