I read about that this morning. I’m actually not super aware of the song. It’s a gap. Never heard it come up at Thanksgiving but that’s a thing.

i had never heard about it until i was in college and one of the teachers brought it up. we'd get into what lyrics were about. guess it made sense for creative writing?
