How tall are you?

I'm 5' 11" and weigh about 163. I drink like a fish and for the most part eat what I want evenings and weekends. Granted, I don't crave much fried food, but I do eat it.
I'm 5'9, so 180 is a little much for me, especially since it's not muscle weight. I went from looking like I was in my third trimester to my second, so progress
 
I worked with a guy like that.

He used a bicycle. Got caught. Fired. Publicly humilated.

maybe it is boredom driven, but it isn't just entertainment for me.

but I benefit from it and it makes me better.
 
I'll often use my efforts to workout as motivation to not eat crap, or eat late at night. For example, I might be up one night and feel hungry, but I tell myself, you woke up at 4:30 this morning and forced yourself to run fast and lift heavy shit, don't throw that work away for a sandwich at 11pm.
last night I had a late snack, (well 9pm) which I had broken that routine. I ended up with heartburn in middle night, so that also helps deter future snack breaks

I continue to make small changes and improve habits but I enjoy grilling/smoking meat, drinking beer, and going out with friends so I've ruled out perfection.

If you want to drop weight fast, get a good case of food poisoning. Dropped 15 lbs in a week during to some bad deli chicken last summer

You're gonna add 10 lbs each decade if you don't modify your eating or exercise habits.

in my mid 20's i got bad case of the flu, I had similar experience. Napping all day with only a bowl of cereal to eat was a fine diet.

yes, none of my changes i consider a diet, all are changes i'm making permanent.
 
we have a myxfitness bike and an elliptical, I use those. In the summer I bike. I'd rather have rowing machine

the spin studio near me was selling one of the water-resistance row machines they were getting rid of when they went out of business.

had I not bought the Peloton, I'd have gotten one for $800
