Fifty isn't a terrible actor. Thought he did well for who he played.

But he's not the main character by any stretch.
 
I mean...the Wire had actual criminals playing roles. Snoop? Criminal in RL.

Method Man was on there. Obviously I'm just skimming here but that was a big cast

They had actual Baltimore people in it, which I still think is brilliant.

And Meth/Cheese was a great side character.

Like I said no one is asking him to play some dynamic character. He's playing a rougher version of his younger self basically. That's not a stretch for him.

As I pointed out The Wire had plenty of actors with screen time that had almost no acting background or little leading into that show.

also, for anyone on that xfinity free movie week with starz, can't go wrong with Wrongfully Accused, I mean you can, but it's a Leslie Nielsen jawn I don't think I saw before. I enjoyed it. Hits and misses, but always goes for it. It's no Airplane or Naked Gun, but what is? I know I'm not, but I try.
