...how does Scott Frost still have a job? He has lost the locker room and can't outcoach any opponents. Time for change.

He will get 5 years minimum, but yeah... I have lost confidence in his coaching ability. He needs to turn over his staff now, because I suspect he will be on a short leash (rightfully so) if he doesn't have a winning season AT MINIMUM next year.

He's not going anywhere for a couple more years. Doubt he's lost the locker room, but his coaching sense, doesn't make sense.

I understand this is a joke, but this does show a big difference in what can happen if the staff and players BELIEVE and buy in. Recruiting talent wise, UCF doesn't;t come close... hell we are 4th in the conference and yet finished dead last. Recruits have been leaving constantly and we have been playing more walk ons than scholarship players. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CULTURE/LOCKER ROOM STILL. Sorry, not yelling at you.... it is just frustrating what has happened to Nebraska since Pelinis firing.

He isn't going anywhere. Nebraska fans need to temper their expectations though. He may get them to a consistent winning record again, but the days of competing for national titles are done.
They can't even come close to recruiting with the big boys. Unless something changes with recruiting, Nebraska has to just be happy with competing with Iowa and Wisconsin.

Whens the last time they have done that?

I am saying Frost can get them to that level, not that they are there now. The Nebraska fans thinking they are going to compete for national titles again are crazy.
It is a completely different football landscape than 20+ years ago and Nebraska just doesn't have anything to separate themselves from elite schools in recruiting and moving to the B1G did them no favors at all.

As much as Nebraska hates Texas their recruiting pipeline went belly up when the they left the Big 12. And they really havent been accepted by the other members of the Big 10. I love the fact that we will play them again next year but wish it was going to be a competitive game.

Have your AD and Prez call the emperor in Austin and convince dear leaders to accept a move to get Nebraska back. Give them 2 years 50% share and by year 3 they get full share.

WVU welcomes brasky back to the B12 with open arms.

I've said that to Nebraska fans, but they refuse to believe it. Those Texas kids, who'd go to Nebraska in the past, now go elsewhere.
They no longer play games in the Southwest and the Texas recruits who are willing to play in the Midwest will pick OSU over Nebraska 99 times out of 100. They want to play those nationally televised prime time games. The rival games, etc. Nebraska has none of that in the B1G.
They won't get recruits because of academics, as they rank at the bottom of the B1G in that too.
Tough spot to be in, but they have a dedicated fan base, so Frost will have time to get them competitive again.

Kids who are 18 right now have never been alive when a Nebraska team finished in the top 10. You know how many teams in the B10 have finished in the top 10 since Nebraska last did ?? In all the P5?

To those kids people talking about all Nebraskas success in the 70s-90s may as well be talking about all of Minnesota titles or Army's titles.

Don't tell me. Tell Nebraska fans. I think their ceiling now as a program is competing with B1G west teams like Wisconsin, Iowa, etc.
The days of competing on the national level are over, IMO. They will never be able to recruit like the elite programs and in today's game, that is who wins.
There is a very small number of teams who have a shot to win a national title. I could name 10 teams and the national champ for the next 20-30 years would come from one of those 10 teams. Yet some fan bases can't grasp that.

I dont even think their ceiling is that high honestly. To kids now Nebraska is basically the Indiana of the West division.
