I don’t really care what they do.

I’ve seen multiple reinventions of TWOZ including the Whiz and the only one worth a shit is Wicked (which was a fantastic play that actually captured some of the magic of the original).

It is just an incredibly hard but to crack so let them take a stab at it and let the product speak for itself.

I honestly can’t remember a time when reimagine a classic worked that great. I’ve seen remakes that were good like True Grit and Oceans Eleven but if you stray too far from the source material it rarely works.

I watched the first episode of Tom Swift on HBOMax where Tom is a black gay person and it’s unwatchable. Everything is very forced and they are trying so hard to convey that Tom is both black and gay it takes over the story.

Nobody gives a shit what color you are or your sexual orientation as long as it isn’t forced down your throat and it makes sense to the story.

This seems like a woke project where instead of focusing on the story they are focusing on portraying “disadvantaged people”. The critics will love it because they will scared to actually be negative but I doubt the box office will be all that great.

Focus on story.
