Bookie:
$ 138,398.00
We just did. I 100% expect a call from HR on Monday. Not joking. Not about me. Super dangerous to be doing these when people aren't restricted with "I gotta drive home".

:L

Whuddya mean? Details

We had one at a local bar last year. No idea about this year with the restrictions.

:hurt:

Hardly anybody is even working in our office, everyone is at home. But we normally don't do much other than a potluck lunch around the 20th or 21st each year. That's during work hours, so no "punch"

thanks for the invite jackass. i would have gone up there and been the +1 for the free booze

There are groups of co-workers that hold their own and invite people of their choosing. Those are usually pretty fun.

The ones my company does are kinda lame because even the bigwigs come and they seem to frown upon people getting sloppy drunk on the company dime.

I work at the Galleria mall. We went to Del Frisco's last year and it was over by 3. I sat at my desk drunk as fuck for 2 hours.....

The regular parties that only involve my team are really fun. We just call them "team building activities" that the company pays for. One year we all went to a Brewers game and tailgated for about 3 hours before the start. Another time we all went gocarting and played laser tag. That shit was a blast.

Details, held via Teams:

We did a white elephant via some website tied to amazon. Pretty slick, worked well. Funny.
then we did some trivia games, and everyone was blitzed at that point. The trivia were "fill in the blank" types. Shit got sideways in a hurry.

Usually just go to the manager's house for dinner. Nothing this year

The lack of a team building marketing budget really sucked this year, but so be it and I understand. Luckily we are all heavily compensated so spending a few bucks isn't an issue.

OH I GET IT. THE FUCKING SLUSHES COULDN'T WAIT 3 HOURS TO GET WASTED.....

GOT IT.

Seriously though, I've been pulling on some 104 french toast bourbon since 1pm. All is well in the world.

No party this year, everybody working remotely.

But the boss gave me a $250 gift card for our liquor stores...

Your boss sounds like a stand up dude. I'd like to have a beer with him. or her. whatever.

That's what our Chick-Fil-A owner did my last year of undergrad. He'd rent out the local Bar//Laser Tag/Arcade/Bowling Alley place for a few hours or host picnics on Sundays.
