Ok, so last year was the first year in about 20 years that I actually followed baseball daily. It was awesome. I spent most of the year surveying which team to get back into being a fan of. Growing up I was a Cleveland Indians fan, but with the name change, no thanks. I was going to go with the Braves as I remember them being good too in the 90's when I followed the game, they had similar name to the Indians, they have awesome uniforms, etc. However, now after winning the World Series that isn't happening.
I thought about the Padres, love the brown/yellow look and they got a roster full of stars that can be fun to get behind and support and watch. They're also in a competitive division. One team that I began to like following last year was the St. Louis Cardinals. I like the smaller market, great uni's, always a competitive franchise, you know they are always trying to win and not sell out to rebuild, so bad years will be few and far between. But of the last 20 years the Cardinals are basically the NL's version of the Yankees.
Would becoming a Cardinals fan be considered a bandwagon move at this moment? Each time I try to tell myself I can't be a fan of them and try to move on, I find myself thinking, 'Damn though I do like them.'
