Well, yeah. And at 1/14th the cost too. But that's the difference between a quality organization and one that just hemorrhages money like the Angels.

The Angels have won four. And played in a WS.

Ángels are 15-18 this year. Atlanta is 17-17.

There is no salary cap. Payroll is irrelevant.

Yeah, we use to be able to spend money like that when Ted Turner owned us. I wish Liberty Media would at least let us spend $200M a year

Record is relevant. The Angels are chronically mismanaged, and are spend-happy idiots. That the two teams can have such a wide disparity in payroll and yet have similar records demonstrate this.

Which pitchers do you think we're talking about here? Ohtani is a guy who insists on being his own DH in games he's pitching in. He was billed as the pitcher who can do it all, especially including batting.

But just in pitching categories, Ynoa is better. In every category. For 1/14th the price.

They’re a combined 8-4 in their careers with like a buck twenty worth of innings under their combined belts.

Ynoa isn’t walking dudes, at all. Thru a month and half of his first real season. But we’re talking about guys with nearly equal ERA+.

Ohtani’s salary is 3million, he signed a two year $8million deal. Ynoa is making 500K.
