The problem is people were still zeroing in on the 2024 class, instead of recognizing that recruiting has evolved to new freshman + transfers.

Colorado is light on incoming freshman, but heavy on incoming talent.
 
So they signed just 5 high school kids which is a ridiculously low amount. At this point I’m not sure they know how to recruit and are just lazy and wait until kids hit the portal.

You have to be in these kids‘ houses and I’d bet money Prime spent all his time visiting big time names and whiffed on most of them. Another season like the last one with his son and Hunter leaving they won‘t even be able to get transfers.

I don't think it's a bad strategy. Try to hit homeruns with the high schoolers and backfill with the portal.

With Texas-OU leaving, the Big 12 is just an over-glorified mid-major.

Oh, without a doubt. It will be highly-competitive between them with no clear dominant team to run away with the conference title every year.

On weaker conference schedule alone, I can see Colorado easily doing better than 4-8 next season.

No they aren’t most of the transfers are rated as 3* transfers lol. It’s the #1 transfer class purely based on volume

That's what I was thinking....they have 6 kids in their class. They rank 98th (lol). Going to take a hell of a lot of transfers to supplement that, and then what? Not sure a team with absolutely no chemistry can be any good. A team that cycles out entirely every year.

The argument is “not all the transfers are seniors!” Deion will cycle them out anyways if they don’t help inflate his ego to his standard right away. He will keep having comical turnover every year and idiots will keep claiming it’s some revolutionary process even though it isn’t and will never work.

Most of these transfers are pretty much lateral moves. They got a few decent ones but the majority are even or at best just slightly better than the guys they are replacing. That defense is still going to be terrible and the oline still won’t be good enough.
