this is still one of the funniest things i've ever seen happen in a football game

2003 home game against WSU after beating Michigan when they were #3. Lost that game 55-16.

Man I was at that game. That was actually the score in the 3rd qtr. Stoops did all he could not to score any points in the 4th.

Not my teams but

WVU’s loss to Pitt 13-9 May well imo be the biggest choke in CFB history.

BC beating ND in ‘93 was also a huge gag fest.

Kansas beating Texas a few years ago was pretty bad as well but Texas wasn’t very good anyway so.. not as big.

UNA: This season, though as a team transitioning from D2 we were hopelessly outmatched in all four games

Bama: Years ago, they lost 35 to zero to Florida. I was in the USCG, and we were underway. One of my shipmates and friends (an avid Gator fan) informed me he'd seen the score on one of the updates sent to the vessel's daily update reports. I didn't believe him at first, but then it was confirmed. He was mercilessly unbearable for weeks after that. :/

There aren't any Mississippi States fans on here but I remember them losing to the University of Maine one year. I count that as the SEC's most embarrassing loss over the last decade.

That was back in 04.

Tennessee losing to Georgia State last year or South Carolina losing to the Citadel are probably it for the last decade

Either of the Sparty losses 98 or 2015.

Most recent loss to the dogshit program that is Nebraska

2002 vs Iowa State

These are ones where injuries didn't play a role and Iowa was far better than their opponent (or should have been). Western Michigan is the borderline exception.
Meh. Iowa had a better record but they were not far better than ISU that year. ISU had a BRUTAL schedule. The Cyclones were 6-1 (the loss was to ACC Champion FSU by one yard) and ranked # 9 before @ #02 Oklahoma, @ #07 Texas, Mizzou, @ #12 K-State and @ #17 Colorado in a five game stretch. Switch schedules, and ISU has a better record, and Iowa wouldn't have been embarrassed in the Orange Bowl.

The entire 1994 OOC season:

Northern Iowa (14-28) @ Ames
@ Iowa (09-37)
Western Michigan (19-23 @ Ames
Rice (18-28) @ Ames

I sat through all four of those stinkers from start to finish. The weather sucked at all four game too!

The Conference schedule improved, as the Cyclones pulled out a 31-31 Tie @ Oklahoma State.

Final Score: 0-10-1 and buh-bye Coach Walden!

Most embarrassing game was against OSU this year. We allowed them to kick a FG in the 2nd half and only won by 22. Never been more ashamed. :hide:

Maine? Didn't we fight Canada for Maine and we lost?
