...forgot to add every 100+ pt boat race game. :L

Not Georgia Southern when they were an FCS team?

this is still one of the funniest things i've ever seen happen in a football game

Have been some embarrassing ones in big games the last 15 years. Also, some losses to embarrassing teams.

I'm going with allowing 313 yards rushing to Tim Biakabutuka in 95, though.
i was in 8th grade, and i remember that specific Saturday i had to go to the library and finish a book report that i'd procrastinated on for weeks. i was glad to have missed that one.

2016, the whole damn season. And no I don’t care that we had a lead in every single game.

Central Michigan 2009

I sort of remember watching it (for some reason on my parents' bedroom TV), and yelling. I would have been 9

We got beat by South Carolina this year and Minnesota in a bowl game last year. Going back further than that is just not mentally healthy.

2002 vs Iowa State
2007 vs Western Michigan - Season finale, 6-5 Iowa lost to 4-7 Western Michigan. Iowa won 4 of previous 5 (including a W vs ranked Illinois)
2009 vs Northern Iowa - 2 blocked FGs in consecutive plays in season Iowa went to Orange Bowl. Iowa dropped further in rankings after that win than Michigan did when they lost to Appalachian State.
2020 vs Purdue

These are ones where injuries didn't play a role and Iowa was far better than their opponent (or should have been). Western Michigan is the borderline exception.

2009 Northern Iowa? You went from 22 to unranked and Michigan went from #5 to unranked.

It's just so tough to pick only one.

Losing to NDSU a few years ago was Iowa’s worst loss.

2007: Ranked #2 in the nation...lost to 41 point underdog Stanford 24-23. I was at that game. The only time they've lost when I was at the game.

Oklahoma State Colorado circa 2001. They scored and got two 15 yard penalties on the extra point. They then converted a 33 yard two point play which was the difference in the game.

I was there and saw it live.

I'd say CMU is more embarrassing because no one shut up about it for years but that one stung.

2017 UCF Sugar Bowl

No excuse but the bright side is they won the national championship.

There are so many bad losses over the years....several beat downs in the early 2000's vs Clemson and Michigan St. Pinkel lost to kansas a couple of times early, any loss to ku is bad. I think the biggest loss in my lifetime was 73-0 to Texas A&M in 1993.

The 9-6 win at home over UCONN in 2015 was pathetic
