My friend and I took our motorcycles to the Shenandoah Mountains for an overnight camp out. No tent, my buddy strung a hammock up in a tree and I laid out a pad on the ground. After lying down I heard a bear walking around. Being a dumb ass I didn't put my pack on a tree limb, I was using it as a pillow and yes it had food in it. Realizing this I tried to throw the pack away, but being on my back and drunk it didn't go far. Bear came upon the pack, I heard him open the food (granola, donuts, can't remember), then proceeded to inspect me. He literally put his face in my sleeping back, I heard his sniffs as our faces were inches apart.
