Oregon has no reason either is a game in jeopardy late.Going to Lubbock still worries me more than Colorado at home. Colorado, while improved, still has a long way to go in the trenches. CU might score some points but Oregon will be able to push them around.

It might be mid october before someone puts up any real fight. Ducks are very back loaded on their schedule.

UW's is a brutal last month for sure.Texas Tech on the road could still be tricky but I think there's a decent chance Oregon is undefeated when they go to Seattle.
USC, Oregon and Washington all have pretty back loaded schedules. It should be good TV, that's for sure.

So much top flight offences and questionable defenses in the conference that I doubt the eventual last Pac champ makes the playoffs. I fully expect a 2 loss champ.
In a warped way, that would be a "fitting end" for the Pac12, if it happens that way...UW's is a brutal last month for sure.

The X-factor of how pissed the beavs and cougs are going to be at every conf team on their slate over being relegated out of the P5 by us adds a little something extra. They will be going for blood on every play.IMO the big question is whether USC, Oregon or Washington can take a step forward defensively. In a conference with such good QB's and offenses, it's going to come down to who can get after the passer and hold up in the back end.
UW has the best proven edge rushers of the 3 but have some big questions in the back end.
Oregon needed more pass rushers and tried to address that through the portal (Burch) and a top prep edge target. Still too early to tell if that's going to be enough.
USC probably has the best offense but has so many new pieces on defense. Luckily for them, their schedule is backloaded so they have some time to figure it out defensively.
If none of them can take a step forward defensively, it's going to remain close between those teams and Utah. UCLA is a wildcard if Chip figures out the QB position. Oregon State should also be very good and have a very favorable schedule. If they pull and upset or two, they could find their way in a championship game.
Washington State, California, and Colorado all looked really good offensively in Week 1 as well. It's going to be tough to make it out of the PAC 12 with just 1 loss.
