So I got a call today from an employee who has been complaining to HR that he doesn't make more than some junior members of his team. I'm like, "WTF man, that's your hard time, go complain to your supervisor or something." He was all "I've been here 12 years, and people starting out are making the same thing as me." And I'm all, "Yeah, that's the new minimum wage law, sucks don't it? Did you write your Assemblyman?? What do you want me to do about it?"
Eventually I connected him with someone in HR, and a few minutes later I get an email from that person, with a lot of other people copied. Apparently HR agreed with this guy, and his supers were supposed to give him a raise but they haven't done it yet.
