Living in the land of vegans, you should tell your wife they don't appear any healthier than non-vegans (whether vegetarians or omnivorous), and they seem a lot unhappier/angrier than vegetarians and omnivores.

In truth, I'm sure it's just easier to deal with it for 21 days and relish the meals you eat when you aren't home.

Yeah, I'm sure there are lots of anecdotes on how it hasn't made any real difference in the person's health. This group is showing her a bunch of success stories of people who have cured their diabeetus or colon cancer by going vegan, and I keep saying "those are the stories they WANT you to hear, but what about all the others where it made no difference at all?"

And she probably doesn't need it, because she has always been in great shape, eats sensibly and works out frequently. Just seems unnecessary.

i only drink beer from the local breweries

Red Oak and foothills are my favorites

Just got done with my tests. Hearing is still good, chest x-rays looked good. I passed the lung capacity test, but while straining for the last little bit of air left in my lungs, a fart slipped out. Test lady had to have heard it and smelled it, but she didn’t even flinch. Gonna fuck em out of one the rest of the day

Annual wellness check at work. Make sure we don't have hearing loss or silicosis. You'd think the chest x-ray would be enough, but they have that lung capacity test. They also do some blood work and check our blood pressure and all that stuff. It's the closest thing to a doctor that I see.

Foothills has some good stuff. North Carolina is chock full of great micro brewers

Right, and while I'm certainly no expert, I'd guess all the extra stuff in food, whether genetic modification, or chemicals to deter pests, or added to the soil for whatever reason, are more potentially detrimental to health than animal protein, and this is from someone who has been a vegetarian for a couple/few decades. Then again, I can't really be objective, because I am probably more anti-vegan than a lot of omnivores.

Anyway, enjoy the countdown to the resumption of glorious meat days.
 
Veganism is just social engineering that will end up with all of us eating goddamned bugs.
