Arch Manning news ...

I don't think UGA needs Arch. They got all the weapons they need.

Texas? Yeah they need him.

I really don’t think it will be NIL … he will get plenty of real NIL, not ATM-like NIL, wherever he goes. Think of the commercials with the entire Manning family. Plus we can give plenty if we want to. Your QB whisperer better be on point this weekend. Fun times! May the best school win!

It’s the Arch effect not just him. Texas needs it more but have no doubt we want it. We are all in. We can handle the miss better, but we want him for sure.

He won't even be the best quarterback texas has. Malik Murphy is better. Kid is overrated.

yeah it's not NIL related, he's going to make serious money no matter where he ends up at. He's a Manning.

Thats what you said about Chris Sims. :dhd:
you didn't know me when Chris Simm committed to UT.. and at that point I wasn't following recruiting like that.. I was busy going through bootcamp, school of infantry, security forces training in that time..

But I do know Arch, Ewers, Maalik>>>>>Arnold

well we got his buddy.. and Eric Nahlin of IT said he's 90% confident that Arch to UT

He's the 670th ranked player in the country. 3*. I am pretty sure that Arch won't be making his decision because his teammate is going to Texas.

Basically, he can now go to UGA knowing he helped his pal get a scholly at UT.

To be honest, no one knows where he is going and if they put a percentage on it, they know even less. The Mannings aren't saying boo to anyone outside their circle. Our people had the same confidence after his visit. That said, you have to be happy to hear that and not that the visit sucked which is what I was leaning toward!

Next few weeks should be interesting.

if he's gonna go to UT, he has to pull the trigger in the next week.. otherwise they need to go ahead and flip a 4 star QB or maybe find this cycles devin Brown

I am hearing two scenarios ... the first is that he makes the decision after the Manning QB Academy which would be at the end of next week. The other is that he waits to see what Texas does in the season. For a while, the second scenario seemed more likely, but more and more people seem to think he gets it over before his season starts.

I don't know about you guys, but pretty sure we are all in on Manning and may not take a QB unless it's Manning. I know we will wait out his decision before we do anything.

Yeah.. On3 UT site, InsideTexas is really pumping up the kool-aide after this visit.. Feels like it will be the ultimate kick in the nuts..

I am leaning more and more towards Arch going to Georgia. With mobile QBs being more and more of a priority/need today, the Manning style of play isn't as strong as it used to be back when Eli and Peyton played. However, I think Arch is still likely to be the real deal.

One item they will consider is offensive line play. Out of the teams in the running, I think Georgia probably has the best offensive line play with the ability to protect Arch the best from pass rushes. This is my logic as to why Georgia could be in the lead.

I do think LSU and Texas are in the running however. Arch Manning may want to go to a program that could benefit the most from his play versus one that is already on top and has multiple options at QB.

This is a common topic on VolNation right now. I think all Tennessee fans are in alignment that Tennessee is NOT an option for Arch, especially with Nico pickup. Phillip Fulmer has been consulted by Mannings for the process but based on comments, this is NOT an indication that Tennessee is in the running but rather Peyton talking to family friend.

LSU and UTjr aren't even in consideration. He took 3 OVs to UT, Bama and UGA and that is all he is taking per everything that has been written. He will either decide in the next few weeks or the Fall if he really likes UT and wants to see if they are improved. I am thinking he decides right around the 4th of July or soon thereafter.

The main thing that UT has going for them is Sark having a good QB record. Let's call Athens v. Austin a push. Most everything else leans UGA. But, I believe that the deciding factor is that the Mannings, being SEC royalty, won't want Arch playing anywhere but the SEC. He would play 2 years in the B12 and I just can't see the family wanting that, nor Arch wanting that when he has grown up around the SEC all his life. That's the positive spin from a UGA homer. I am sure @Thiefery will explain why it will be UT.

I NEVER said Tennessee was in the running. In fact, I said we were NOT in the running. Grabbing Nico was a pretty clear sign that Tennessee wasn't in the running for Arch Manning.

LSU is in the running despite what media is stating. Now, they maybe further down the list but they are in the mix.

I think Georgia wins it because of offensive-line play and overall program stability. The only negative about Georgia is that Arch Manning may want to go to a school where he could have a greater impact. If he goes to UGA and gets beat out by another QB, that would be a problem.

Edit: Texas is probably #2 due to the offense they run. However, I would think LSU would be in the mix as well because LSU has a history of running pro-style offenses at times as well. LSU is probably distant third due to instability lately and I am not sure how good their offensive line play is overall.

I don't think Alabama is in the mix because Saban has been using dual threat QBs and, frankly, has plenty of options for QB. Some of the best QBs in the sport have come through Alabama recently so they do not necessarily need a Manning.

I could be totally wrong about my order.

Not sure if the SEC tag really has weight or not. They are going to pick a school were Arch can prosper the most and be put in the best position to be drafted and ready for the NFL.
